I design and build beautiful and intuitive web applications.
Focusing on style, speed and usability, I keep my code clean and my interfaces cleaner.

Filemobile's flagship product, Media Factory, is a premiere media centric CMS and website platform. My main responsibility at Filemoble is to design and build new features for Media Factory. I am involved from conception, through design and development, all the way to launch.

My favourite application to build for Filemobile was Multimedia Comments. With only a few lines of HTML, two JS files, and a single PHP file, clients can very quickly add commenting to any page. Users can add text, images and videos to their comments. This application helped Filemobile score a partnership with video giant Brightcove.

Filemobile specializes in customizable and brandable social media applications. I am in charge of the define, design and develop stages for these applications. The goal is to have simple design and code that will enable a quick project turnaround while still incorporating all the advanced features Filemobile offers. The applications are built in Filemobile's custom templating language which allows users that don't have much coding knowledge to easily access the APIs.

500px is a photographic community powered by creative people from all over the world that lets them share and discover inspiring photographs. After five years with the same design, 500px wanted to relaunch with a new look and features. I came up with a new design and user workflow that shows off the photos more predominately. I also helped the 500px team implement a few pages into their Ruby on Rails environment.

Using the brand colours and fonts, I helped redesign and rebuild Hyundai Canada's corporate site. My first project was to design page layouts and build the navigation structure. Research showed high user dissatisfaction with the previous Hyundai site and it's difficult navigation. Our goal was to make all information three or less clicks away. When Hyundai's new site was awarded top spot in JD Power's 2009 survey, the navigation was touted as being intuitive and the number one reason the site was ranked first.

Kia Motors hired me to build two Flash interfaces. The first, on the homepage, cycles through promotions and displays vehicle information when the user hovers over the model name. The second is a Kia branded video player used to display advertisements.

Durham Region hired me to redesign their corporate site. They wanted something fresh, unique, and easy to build on top of their existing structure.

I love to work on my own projects to keep my skills sharp.
Here Be Dragons is a blog I designed and developed from scratch for my trip to France. I also created a backend to manage my blog posts, photos and location updates.
Slaqr is a task and event management application.
